Dave “Ouzo” Land is a singer/songwriter, performer and recording artist who is clearly more at home on stage than anywhere else in the world. After learning to play guitar at the age of 13, he spent the next few decades writing, performing and honing his craft, picking up the nickname “Ouzo” along the way.  Dave formed his band, the Downtowners, in 2003, performing what he calls “country infused vintage rock and roll”.

Dave signed with the independent label Tays International Music (now Blue Tree Records) in 2014 and (with the Downtowners) recorded and released two albums, Just Another Bad Guy in 2014 and Here We Go Again in 2015, and a six song EP, My Friends Call Me Ouzo in 2018. Dave’s current album, Don’t Take Candy From A Cowboy, was (officially) released under the name “Ouzo” in January 2022, and he has just started recording his upcoming album, The Next Adventure.

These days, Dave is mostly performing solo and plays both covers and original material with equal enthusiasm. He enjoys involving and bantering with the audience, and the occasional story is never out of the question. Dave “Ouzo” Land….if you’ve seen him, you get it. If you haven’t, do yourself a favor.
